Code of Ethics

All LBA members abide by the following code of ethics:

  1. Maintain the highest standard of excellence and professionalism and abide by the LBA by-laws.
  2. Practice good business ethics at all times by using only legal ethical means in all industry activities. Observe and honor all laws, rules, license requirements concerning members' business and those of other vendors and clients.
  3. Practice professional integrity by promising truthful and accurate information in all aspects of professional performance and duties.
  4. Be accountable, objective, fair, tactful, and maintain the highest standards of personal conduct.
  5. Promote and maintain good business skills by committing to professional growth and knowledge through educational enhancement programs.
  6. Represent each client fairly and honestly by abiding by what is stated a clearly written agreement, stating all charges for services and/or products.
  7. Provide quality service in a timely and cost effective manner.
  8. Use honest and factual information in all advertising and protect the public against fraud and misleading information.
  9. While performing above the acceptable standards to this industry, maintain a positive and professional attitude in all business relationships including clients, colleagues, and competitors.
  10. Resolve all disputes in a professional and timely manor.

Web Site fair use agreement:

  1. All members of the LBA will be permitted to post, a listing on the LBA web site. Members may only list under heading they actually service. Any paid secondary headings must also be a product or service that the business actually provides, and may not be something that is subcontracted.
  2. Listings under additional headings may be purchased from the LBA with the same restrictions as listed in item 1.
  3. All listings must only include the name and information of the official member business, no other businesses may be promoted on the listing.
  4. Pictures/logos are not permitted in the text/description area of the listing or in the coupons and may only be added in the logo area. The text/description portion of the listing cannot handle pictures as it slows loading of pages, and could alter the margins of the web page.
  5. All information displayed must be appropriate, as deemed by the LBA Board of Directors. If any information considered by the board to be: vulgar, unethical, offensive, or inappropriate, it is the right of the LBA board or their representatives to remove the listing or inappropriate portions of the listing.
  6. The LBA Board of Directors reserves the right to approve, edit, and/or remove all or portions of any listings at any time.
  7. Any calendars and news sections of the website or future portions of website are great tools for promoting upcoming public events. The LBA Board reserves the right to approve, edit, and/or remove all or portions of the calendar listings at any time. Non-members events may not be permitted to be displayed at the discretion of the LBA board.
  8. If a member places a coupon on the web page it is expected that the coupon be of value, have a reasonable length of expiration date (as deemed reasonable solely by the LBA Board), not be tied to purchases of products or services of non-members. Non-members will not be allowed to participate in coupons in any way.
  9. Leads derived from the web site are the property of the LBA, and only members with active, valid coupons will receive leads. Leads may not be given, shared, or sold to any other business, or person whether a LBA member or not. Any business violating this agreement regarding the leads agree to reimbursement LBA damages of $1500 per incident.
